About the Class Variations:

Introduction to Belly Dance is a class designed to give you the basics of belly dance technique, teach you the fundamental movements of belly dancing and open you to the world of belly dances origins.

Slink into Belly Dance s is geared toward any experience level of belly dancing, where you will learn rhe slinky and more sensual movements of belly dancing. You will dance to slower movement and have more languid moments within yourself to appreciate yourself, your body and the art of belly dancing. Designed to enhance your sensuality and self love, Slink into Belly Dance is the class for any woman who is ready to dive deeper into her divine feminine expression of self.

This Empowered Movement class is all about you! How do you feel? What do you wish to experience? What are your goals? Through belly dance movement we can develop a deep connection to our truth and learn to express our deepest desires with confidence, self love and gratitude for what already is. Taking the basic movements of belly dance, putting them into choreographies that are easy and fun to learn, all the while being mindful of your intentions for your life - this class is designed to help you bring your personal visions to life.

About the Instructor:

Jocelyn aka Lotus of the Sun has been dancing for over 20 years. From ballet to african dance, jazz, tap and lyrical... Until she finally found the ancient art of belly dancing. At 13 years old she found herself in her first ever belly dance class, and now at months shy of 30, she has been teaching and performing this divine feminine art since she was 18 years old. Her mission is to help all women remember their power, feel into their sensual nature in a safe community, and empower the universal sisterhood that all women share. Belly Dance is her passion and she cannot wait to share this with you all. She is certified in many styles of belly dance, ranging from her personal style of Tribal Fusion Belly Dance, to Gypsy Fusion, Theatrical, Cabaret and Classical Egyptian style belly dancing. Jocelyn aka Lotus of the Sun takes a personal approach to belly dance teaching by helping others to use this practice (as she has) to heal yourself through movement.
